Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield certificate_of_authenticity Footnote: Born on 20 March(Heer Kubanschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with four side clips to a magnetic metal backplate with a field grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 51. 75 mm (w) x 61. 66 mm (h), demonstrating
