Turkey, Ottoman Empire. An Order Of Medjidie (Mecidiye), V Class Knight Newly Listed the 79th Cameron Highlanders of(Mecidiye Nian). Instituted in 1851. Multi piece construction, center appliqu along with star and moon suspension in Gold with red enamels, mounted to a silver seven pointed star base, silver standard marked on the reverse, measuring 55. 3 mm (w) x 70 mm (h) inclusive of its star and crescent moon suspension, chipping evident in the red enamels on the centrepiece ring, very light contact overall, original ribbon, better than very fine.
