Germany, HJ. A Member’s Knife, Transitional Example by H. & F. Lauterjung Newly Listed (1868-1874 issue)(HJ Fahrtenmesser). An HJ members knife, measuring 25. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 14 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade which retains some factory original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge. The reverse bears transitional makers marks in the form of the logo of H. & F. Lauterjung, Solingen, situated adjacent to a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code M7 6 for the same manufacturer. The
