Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed sword and bayonet, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays with acorns, the centrepiece retaining its magnetic metal backplate, the reverse with a flat wire catch, maker marked C.
