Osuzu Malt "Cedar" Umeshu and it was practiced inA first of its kind that is defying all laws of whisky making. Osuzuyama uses the hand box malting method and distills the whisky using stainless steel Shochu stills. Not only that, but it is aged in American Oak and cedar casks, something that is not allowed under the Scottish Whisky law! The result is a gorgeously smooth, silky, malty whisky with layers of spices and sweetness; a very unique Japanese interpretation of a classic spirit.
