From July 11-12, Crowne Plaza Vientiane had the honor of welcoming President Tô Lâm and a high-level Vietnamese delegation on a state visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic – the first official tour of the President in his new position. Hosting President Tô Lâm and the high-level Vietnamese delegation were the Vice Chairman and CEO of BIM Group, Mr. Đoàn Quốc Huy, along with other executive members, employees of BIM Group, and Crowne Plaza Vientiane.
Crowne Plaza Vientiane is proud to be the first 5-star hotel in Laos, developed in collaboration between BIM Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts. The hotel is part of the Royal Square, a premium commercial and office complex. The complex enjoys a prime location, running along Samsenthai and Sithong roads, close to the park and the famous statue of King Fa Ngum, the first king and founder of the Lan Xang (Million Elephants) Kingdom of Laos.
BIM Group is set to soon launch the luxury Holiday Inn Vientiane – another brand under the IHG Hotels & Resorts Group. In the fourth quarter of 2024, the two BIM-owned hotels in Laos: Holiday Inn Vientiane and Crowne Plaza Vientiane, will continue to have the honor of hosting international dignitaries attending the ASEAN summit held in the capital city of Vientiane, during Laos’ ASEAN Chairmanship year.
